Weyerhaeuser is the biggest lumber producer in North America, with a presence in 18 countires including major operations throughout Canada's boreal forest. With $20 billion in annual sales, they also import timber from tropical rainforests, and log on public lands in the US. Over 80,000 square km (50,000 square miles) of Canada's forests lay open to Weyerhaeuser.
